SEIGO, a new Japanese Restaurant in Town

Well hello again !
Today's Post will be about Seigo Japanese Restaurant, located at Manyar, Surabaya (before BCA Kertajaya).

 

Ok first of all, this restaurant is a new restaurant in town, i noticed that some of the waitress are not ready (lack of preparation maybe ?). how can i say that ? first, me and my friends (total 6 persons) ordered only 4 drinks but they give us 6 drinks in total, at first we didn't notice that there is 6 drinks on our table (thanks God we didn't drink it ), after several minutes the waitress noticed that it's a mistake and the drinks should be for another table next to us (why don't they check it at first ? there is check note on our table tho). Second, i ordered other food after all of my friends have ordered (so it should be in another check note right ? but there is none) the food came but then the waitress came back and ask us what is in the plate of the food i ordered because they didn't write it at the time i ordered and thats why there is no other checknote... (anothe miss communication i guess).
Things that i don't like at the moment is the fact that some of the drinks came AFTER THE FOOD CAME OUT which is pretty weird for me, and the menu has no pictures at all (at that time of their soft opening period), so it's just contains the name of the foods / beverages, a little explanation of what is in the food/ beverages, prices and that's it no pic at all so its kinda clueless to choose what to eat (pictures are really important when you are selling something that needs visual presentation at most, including foods and beverages). But for me it's not a big problems that could turn me off somehow, i believe they can always fix it and improvise their system and encourage their crew to serve better ! :D

One thing that i love about this place is that the interior design is so pretty, the lightning is so perfect and as you can see it has a japanese themed design with many sakura flowers, wood doors, wood chairs and tables etc. the place is pretty big and i think it can fits around 50-100 people, and also it has 2 vip / private room that fits around 30 people.

Here is the VIP / private room, you can use  2 of this room or jusr ask the waitress to close the curtains to separate your room with the other VIP room (not so private tho, but still its enough hahaha) and as you can see there is a leftover bones at the table (?) idk why it's there but it clearly shows me that the waitress didn't intend to clean it up even if i have entered the room to take a photos there.. (another not well prepared staff i guess ?) :)

To be honest i love this place, the decoration, the atmosphere, the lightning and every little detail about the decoration of this cute new place :)

Okay move on to the menu books, this restaurant has a many kind of foods to offer and the prices it's not that cheap, actually it's quite expensive for some of the choices they had. as you can see in the menu pictures below 

After looking through the many kind of food choices, my friends and i decided to ordered a flossy tuna with tamago and cheese sushi roll (80k), Roll Crispy Ebi Furai with Egg Salad (70k), Grilled Salmon Mentai Sushi Roll (70k) and Tuna Salad Roll (40k). And for the drinks we ordered 2 Hot Tea (10k each), Lychee Tea (24k) and Ice Tea (10k). The food served is quite tasty and not that bad compared to the lack of the service we experienced. The food was presented with a wooden staircase model plate which we found so cute (not only staircase model but also a wooden terraced house model, its famous because it's a seigo special sushi roll menu). Unfortunately, on our table there was only a little soya sauce and chilli powder so we have to ask to the waitress to refill it many times. and here are the food pictures that we ordered :

my most favorite dish is the salmon mentai roll and tuna salad roll, but my friends loved the flossy tuna and ebi furai with egg salad hahaha (so it was all good i guess). Even tho the sushi takes a pretty long time to be served, me and my friends had a really good time there. You can bring your family, friends, and even your lovers to have a lunch here, it's a good choice for you if you want to spending time lingering with them while waiting for the food and enjoying the place. :D (better come in a morning or afternoon for a better lighting i guess).

Too bad i didn't ask their open hours, but i guess its 10.00am - 10.00pm (from observation hahaha)

UPDATE :: GUYS MY FRIEND (@alfredarosalind97) JUST TOLD ME, THE MENU BOOKS IS ONLY TEMPORARY BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL ON THEIR SOFT OPENING PERIOD, THAT'S WHY THEY DONT HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THE FOOD OR BERVERAGES HAHAHA I BELIEVE THEY SOON WILL BE WORKING ON THE MENU BOOKS TO BE BETTER LOOKING THAN NOW ;);)
